Learn About Our Story
Ponwith Insurance is locally owned by us, Scott and Jodi Ponwith. We are located in Sioux Falls and Rapid City South Dakota. We have collectively worked in the field of education as teachers for over 40 years.
Helping people has always been a passion of ours that we still carry with us today working as independent health insurance agents.
What matters to us most is helping people understand their rights and options when it comes time for them to go onto Medicare. And we specialize in that.
Who we are
Hello! My name is Jodi Ponwith. I am a Minnesota native growing up in both Winona and Saint Peter. I attended college at the U of W - LaCrosse, UND, and Augustana. I have lived in Sioux Falls for the past 32 years. I was a teacher for 16 years in the elementary setting in both Sioux Falls and Harrisburg. My husband and I look forward to helping you find just the right plan for your health care needs. We are local, we care, and we can help you.
My personal interests are spending time with our family, going to the lake, fishing, and being active.
Jodi Ponwith
Hello! My name is Scott Ponwith. I am a Sioux Falls native attending both LHS and O’Gorman High School. I was born and grew up in Sioux Falls and have also raised my family here, too. After attending SDSU, Augustana College, and USD I taught elementary education here for 23 years. I coached tennis at LHS and WHS for 11 years and have served as a volunteer recreational soccer coach for 25 years. I enjoy helping people and facilitating them in their search to find the best health care plan available to them. I am now in my 10th year working as an independent health insurance agent.
My personal interests are golf, hiking, and visiting our four children. I like to stay active and work out.
